At the Lipoedema Wellness Centre, we believe every woman deserves compassionate, specialised care, without judgment, shame, or dismissal. We are proud to be Brisbane\u2019s first centre dedicated solely to supporting women living with lipoedema. Founded by a woman with lipoedema for women with lipoedema.
We focus on empowering women with knowledge, personalised care, and a vibrant community, helping each woman reclaim her strength, confidence, and quality of life. Offering them the opportunity to access affordable conservative management of this condition.
At The Lipoedema Wellness Centre, we\u2019re not just providing treatment. We\u2019re changing the story for women with lipoedema, one woman at a time. Our Story<\/h3>\r\n\t
When our founder was diagnosed with lipoedema in 2023, reliable information was hard to find, and most doctors still hadn\u2019t heard of the condition. Even after receiving a formal diagnosis from a qualified allied health professional, her own GP, a woman who claimed to be familiar with lipoedema, told her, \u201cYou just need to lose some weight and get fit.\u201d

\nIn that moment, she felt hopeless. She had done enough research to know that this advice simply doesn\u2019t work for lipoedema bodies, and she just wanted to cry.

\nLipoedema is a frightening, isolating, and costly condition to manage. Despite its prevalence, many healthcare providers still lack basic awareness, making it nearly impossible for sufferers to access support like Chronic Disease Management Plans.\nThat\u2019s why we\u2019re building something different.

\nOur mission is to create a strong, proud community; to raise awareness about lipoedema; and to provide affordable, informed care, all in one place.\nWe support our members through evidence-based, conservative treatments that help lipoedema bodies become stronger and healthier.
